A charge will be made for the dismantling and assembling of furniture at £20 per item. This also includes plumbing and unplumbing of appliances. Please note that a key waiting charge of £50 per hour
or there part of will be made once we have loaded the vehicle and cannot gain entry to the new property.
Payment by cheque will only be accepted in full seven days prior to the removal day or cash on the day.
All items to be moved are covered by our insurance up to the value of £20,000 per vehicle with the exemption of assembled flat pack furniture (eg. MFI, IKEA and products of that nature).
INSURANCE. The maximum overall limit of indemnity under the policy in respect of any one occurrance will be £20,000.
FURNITURE REMOVERS EXTENSION. This policy is extended to indemnify the insured against All Risk of loss damage to household removals arising from any fortuitous
cause during loading or unloading of the conveying vehicle or in transit therein but excluding:
a). loss or damage to food and drink, furs, jewellery, watches, precious metals and precious stones, Deeds,
Bonds, Bills of Exchange, Promissory Notes, Manuscripts and other Documents,
b). loss or damage caused by or arising from wear, tear, gradual deterioration, mildew, moth, vermin, or any process of cleaning or restoring,
c). loss or damage to self assembly furniture,
d). mechanical or electrical derangement unless caused by external means,
e). breakage of owner packed goods unless caused by a major accident to the means of conveyance,
f). loss or damage occurring in premises where the goods are stored or warehoused.
In the event of loss or damage to any article forming a pair or set, the indemnity granted hereunder shall be limited to the proportionate depreciation shall be paid.
DEPOSITS. A deposit of 20% will be required to secure any removal date unless otherwise agreed with the representative at the time of booking. Deposits will be lost
if the customer cancels the removal. However, if the customer has an alternative date the deposit can be forwarded to that date at the company's discetion.
CANCELLATION. A charge of 25% will be made if seven days notice is given. A 50% charge will be made if less than seven days.
KEY WAITING CHARGE. A charge of £50 will be made per hour or there part of, once we have loaded the vehicle and have arrived at the new address and cannot gain entry to unload.
GARDEN PLANTS. Due to the nature of plants being potted or otherwise contained, we do not remove plants with furniture and household belongings because :
a). they will not stack or tie in vehicle, thus taking up valuable packing space, and, b). they are liable to soil and damage other goods.
